What matters most to you when designing a light?
Lighting is a very classical product category in industrial design, but with Gantri’s technology, it adds an interesting layer of accessibility for consumers that allows us to share very immediate ideas that can be made quickly. So during our collaboration, we focused on playful ideas that can be easily understood by anyone as well as making it easy to manufacture using 3D printing technology.
What emotions do you want to make people feel through your work?
Happiness is a general word, but we think it includes the different emotions we’d like people to feel. Whether it’s an obvious playful aesthetic, a sense of appreciation from using a nice product for a long time, or even very functional and technical design that gives you a satisfying feeling to use.
