Gantri Reimagines Lighting Design with Wireless Debut

Powered by Gantri Helia^TM technology, Gantri Wireless will launch with a 10-piece collection designed by Ammunition that introduces a new standard for cordless lighting focused on user experience and high design.

Marking their 10-year anniversary with the most innovative introduction since their arrival on the market in 2016, California-based lighting innovator and manufacturer Gantri is thrilled to debut a new product category, Gantri Wireless. Comprising 10 original designs made in collaboration with San Francisco-based design studio Ammunition, the launch demonstrates Gantri’s vision for the future of lighting: design-forward wireless lights that deliver the performance and sophistication of permanent fixtures without the constraint of cords.

Unlike existing gadget-driven or generic high-end portables on the market, Gantri Wireless is grounded in design integrity and human-centered experience. Each piece is engineered to function as both a flexible and foundational light source, presenting a fundamental shift in how lighting is experienced. Rather than treating portability as a compromise, Gantri reimagines it as an opportunity: to create lighting that combines the design and performance of Gantri’s plug-in lights with best-in-class portability.

The Game-Changing Gantri Helia^TM

At the heart of Gantri’s cutting edge wireless debut is their expertly engineered, universal,  wireless lighting technology: Gantri Helia^TM. The first iteration of the platform, the H1 Engine, offers two battery capacities -  H1 and H1L - to support a range of light sizes and power needs. The proprietary technology houses a battery, drivers, and connectivity via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and connects to a high-performance LED array, capacitive touch interface, and charging base. Together, these systems deliver a modular core infrastructure that allows any lighting design to run on the same internal system.

All Helia-centric designs find their home on an elegant stainless steel charging base in a unique fog finish, reminiscent of San Francisco’s iconic haze. The base remains connected to power, its weighted design ensuring it stays fixed in place, while lamping can be lifted, moved, and returned home when needed. For an intuitive charging ritual, self-aligning contacts guide the light into position while thoughtful indicators make for clear battery markers.

By standardizing this core technology for wireless lighting, Gantri Helia^TM enables Gantri and Gantri Made partners to develop a wide variety of wireless lighting forms without restriction while maintaining consistent brightness, runtime, and performance.

Redefining the Category

Beyond its ability to exist within any design, Gantri Helia^TM offers a powerful set of features that further differentiates Gantri’s wireless lighting capabilities from available options on the market. Key features include:

• Up to 1000 Lumens of brightness, a level suitable for primary and ambient lighting (compared to the average 200 to 300 Lumens capability of available portable offerings)
• Up to 10 hours of battery life (compared to the average of up to 8 hours on existing portable offerings)
• A natural-feeling light quality at 90+ CRI for an at home or hospitality experience that feels warm and welcoming
• Dual color temperatures (2700K / 3200K) for ambient and task settings
• IP44-rated durability with splash-resistant and commercial ready design suitable for indoor and outdoor use
• Smart home readiness, to be compatible with Google Home, Apple Home, and Alexa, through Matter (Gantri app launching in 2027)

Gantri will expand the Wireless ecosystem in Fall 2026 with the introduction of an Ammunition-designed 6-port charging tray compatible with a wide array of designs. The addition will be especially useful in hospitality environments that require charging of numerous fixtures simultaneously.

The New Face of Wireless Lighting 

Gantri partnered with Ammunition to bring their new vision for wireless lighting to life with a 10-piece collection of original designs comprising Mini Lights, Table Lights, Task Lights and a Floor Lantern. Perfectly suited for homes, hospitality spaces, and everyday environments alike, the designs belong to three distinct families of products inspired by Californian coastal living: Drift, Pier, and Eave.

The Drift family includes the Drift Wireless Mini Light, Drift Small Wireless Task Light, and Drift Wireless Task Light. The collection is shaped by the notion of motion resolving into rest. Like stones smoothed by the Yuba river, each element feels arrived at, not engineered. Softly tapered volumes and balanced proportions create a grounded presence and sense of calm.

The Pier family, comprising the Pier Wireless Mini Light, Pier Small Wireless Task Light, Pier Single Wireless Task Light, and Pier Double Wireless Task Light, takes a more graphic approach. Intersecting planes and bold geometries create modular and iconic objects that are made to be frequently rearranged in space. Referencing California’s famous piers along its coast, the forms in the collection are reminiscent of places that encourage us to slow down, be present, enjoy nature, and take in the light. 

Open, unhurried, and quietly Californian, Eave is inspired by the place below the roofline that reaches outward to catch and soften light. It includes the Eave Slim Wireless Table Light, Eave Low Wireless Table Light, and Eave Wireless Floor Lantern, standing almost 35-inches in height. Each piece visually draws from San Francisco’s architectural diversity - the deep porches of Craftsman bungalows, cornices of bright Victorians, the Chinatown gate, and layered Peace Pagoda - a nod to both Ammunition and Gantri’s origins. 

Alongside these new designs, Gantri has debuted 5 new colorways. The nature-inspired selection draws from the California landscape with a dense green Spruce, a burgundy red Manzanita, bright and botanical Lilac, refined and floral Magnolia, and an electric yellow Lichen. 

Gantri Made

Beyond the product collections, Gantri has also introduced a wireless product development platform through Gantri Made, where brands and designers can leverage Gantri Helia^TM and the brand’s distinct digital manufacturing process to design and launch their own custom wireless lights.

Like every piece in Gantri’s lighting portfolio, Gantri Wireless is made on-demand at their factory in San Leandro, California. The pieces are crafted from the brand’s proprietary, non-GMO sugarcane-derived Gantri PlantPolymers. An opaque blend polymer is engineered to withstand high temperatures and finished with a premium water-based paint that’s beautifully smooth and soft to the touch while the translucent blend allows light to shine through, showcasing the stunning and unique abilities of digital fabrication. 

The full range of Gantri Wireless will debut at this year’s ICFF in New York City and will be available for pre-order starting at $248 on gantri.com starting on May 14, 2026, with orders shipping in Fall 2026.
