Dims. is an L.A.-based design brand founded in 2017 by Eugene Kim. The "new-century modern" brand partners with an international cohort of award-winning designers to produce home furnishings that are sustainably made and realistically priced. Dims. has been featured in Architectural Digest, Wall Street Journal, Dwell, Design Milk, and Sight Unseen. For its first work produced on Gantri, Dims. has partnered with Studio Word, a Seoul-based design studio founded by renowned Korean artists Kyuhyung Cho and Jungyou Choi.

What is your design philosophy?

Great design is something to aspire to, but attainability shouldn’t be an afterthought. At Dims., we factor this in from the very beginning. Why create something universally beautiful that can only be appreciated by a select few? And why compromise on materials now, when great pieces should be enjoyed for generations? The Dims. answer: thoughtfully designed, responsibly made, fairly priced furniture. We call it “new-century modern.”

Who designed the Word Table Light?

The Word Table Light is a design collaboration between Dims. and Studio Word. Studio Word is a design studio established by Korean artists, Kyuhyung Cho and Jungyou Choi. Based in Seoul with clients across Europe and Asia, the multitalented studio creates works across the fields of product, furniture, graphic and spatial design. They have collaborated on projects and exhibitions with iconic luxury brands such as Menu, Iittala and Hermès.
